Depending on the cause and severity of your cosmetic issues, a makeover may be conservative or extensive. But what procedures will the doctor use to improve the shape and color of your teeth? What procedures are included in a makeover?

Common Procedures Included in a Smile Makeover

Teeth Whitening: Depending on the severity of the stains and the way we approach your makeover, we may recommend an in-office or at-home teeth whitening system. The office-based system brightens smiles in one visit. The at-home option involves wearing a gel-filled tray for about one to two hours a day over the course of one to two weeks.

Gum Contouring: If your gum line is uneven then your teeth can appear uneven. In addition, excessive gum tissue can make teeth appear too small. To address this, we may perform a gum contouring procedure to remove excess tissue and reshape the gum line.

Cosmetic Bonding: If a tooth is chipped we can use cosmetic bonding to repair the tooth in a single visit. We also use the procedure to help mask teeth stains on the rear teeth and to close any gaps between teeth.

Veneers: Placing veneers onto the front of the teeth can reshape the teeth and change their color, addressing damage, issues with a tooth’s appearance, and permanent discoloration.

Invisalign: If you have misalignment then we can often correct the issue with clear aligners. They are comfortable and barely visible when worn.

Dental Implants: If you have lost one or more teeth we can replace them with a dental implant. They look and function like a natural tooth and with proper care, they can last a lifetime.
