Never Skip a Step
Dr. Engelberg offers several different whitening treatments, but all will begin with a thorough cleaning and examination. Before we expose your mouth to bleaching gel, your lips and gums are covered for protection. Hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching gel which will offer you dramatic whitening in a short time. We activate the gel with a special laser light. Once the process is finished, we will remove bleach from your teeth. Next, we apply a fluoride treatment which remineralizes your tooth enamel. This means your chances of any significant or long term tooth sensitivity from whitening are very low.
