You may require periodontal treatment before be proceed. We will also look at the state of your jawbone tissue. If you don’t have enough jawbone tissue to support the new tooth, then you may need to first undergo a bone grafting procedure.

Placement

Once we choose the best area for placement, an oral surgeon will insert the titanium post into the jawbone. Titanium is biocompatible, which means the implant post will bond with the jawbone and act like a new tooth root. For this to occur, the area needs to heal over a period of four to six months.

Restoration

After the healing period is complete, we proceed by adding a restoration. The restoration acts as the visible portion of your tooth and is typically made form a dental crown. The crown is custom-made from a lifelike ceramic, ensuring it looks natural and blends with the rest of your smile.

Caring for Your New Teeth

You will need to maintain good oral hygiene to safeguard your dental implant against harmful bacteria, plaque buildup, and advanced gum disease. We recommend taking good care of your teeth at home by brushing and flossing, and making sure you see the dentist for checkups and cleanings every six months.
